The club held its finals day one week later than planned because of wet weather. The matches were played on an ideal day - dry and calm with sunny intervals and a crowd of a couple of dozen people (members and non members) watched some excellent and hard fought matches. Joe Reeve took the men's singles title for the first time in his match against former champion Kevin Worth. Jake Horton had held the men's singles title for 4 years in succession from 2009 to 2012 but he was not able to defend it this year.
In the ladies' singles, Shannon Sandy took the title for the third year in succession in a match against her twin sister, Tamsin.
Ben Watkins made himself a triple champion this year by winning the men's plate trophy, having already won the men's doubles and mixed doubles earlier in the season.
The ladies' plate was won for the first time by Hayley Frayn.
Luke Roberts took the boys' singles championship for the second and probably last time (he'll be a bit too old next year!).
Many thanks must go to Suzanne Cole who organised some delicious cream teas, the ingredients for which were kindly donated by Waitrose. The excellent sum of £46.50 was raised for club funds from the sale of the teas.
Men's Singles: Joe Reeve beat Kevin Worth 6-3, 4-6, 6-2
