Clash of the Clubs

Thursday the 2nd of June saw a clash of the club's hosted at Launceston tennis club.
As well as this  being a ratings tournament, the clash of the club's features players from Launceston, Bude and Wadebridge. The clash offers players from each club a point for attendance, a point for every match played and a point for every match won.
The clash of the club's champions will be the club with the most points giving it a bit of a team feel to this unique event.
Wadebridge had been the only winners since 2015. A tremendous entry in the mini tennis events was unmatched by Launceston and Wadebridge and Bude took a big lead going in to the junior event.
Mini Red saw a winner from Bude, mini orange saw a well contested final by Issac Wrigley and Noah Kinsela both of Launceston with Issac claiming a hard fought victory.
The junior tennis saw a revival from Wadebridge and Launceston as they outnumbered the Bude entry.
Alex Hughes of Wadebridge came back from a set down to defeat Finlay Worth from Launceston who had a fantastic tournament. Katie Jackson of Bude took the honours in the junior Girls defeating Lea Davost Zangari of Wadebridge.
The final leaderboard saw Bude crowned clash of the club's champions with 58 points, Launceston as runners up with 55 and Wadebridge third with 38.
The next Clash of the club's will be held at Wadebridge in the autumn.
Hope to see you there.
